Learn to Play Golf in a Fun, Affordable Way!

Get Golf Ready is designed to teach everything you’ll need to play golf in just a few lessons.

What You Will Experience:
Each session will focus on the various golf skills you will use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided onto the golf course to pull your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting. Aimed at bringing adults/juniors into golf in a fast, fun and affordable way in a group setting, Get Golf Ready offers five lessons that concentrate on basic skills, instruction and information on the Rules of golf, etiquette and values. Participants learn techniques regarding chipping and putting, full swing and bunker play, as well as the fundamental guidelines of use and maintenance of golf equipment, keeping score and navigating the course.

For what I have seen become of my son’s golf game, I would highly recommend Dan Lock as an instructor for anybody looking to pursue a career in golf, to become more knowledgeable about the game of golf, or to become a better golf player.

I can't thank Lock Golf Academy enough. Two years ago my handicap was near 20. I am starting this year with a handicap under 10 thanks to Dan! It only took a few lessons each year and a bit of practice on my end to completely change my game. He started by looking at the big picture by making minor swing adjustments and providing drills to improve the consistency of my swing. We have progressed to making more detailed game improvements; hitting more consistent wedges, controlling distance out of sand bunkers, driving, and putting.

Our focus is making sure each junior golfer is exposed to the game in a way that makes it fun and enjoyable. Building confidence, teaching good sportsmanship, making friends, understanding rules & learning the game of Golf.

Your Jr. Golfer will learn the fundamentals of golf in a fun environment with Lock Golf Academy. While enjoying the companionship of their peers, young golfers will gain a strong foundation to golf’s fundamentals. Building confidence, teaching good sportsmanship, making friends, understanding rules & learning the game of golf are all major objectives of our Academy. Lock Golf Academy wants the Junior’s experience to energize their love of the game and truly make it “the game of a lifetime”.

Investment: $175 – 5 lessons – 90 minutes per clinic

Dan taught our son Jayson how to move from one club to the next, and recall the specifics needed for each. We could see the definite improvement in all the skills Dan taught. Jayson had more of natural movement about him, vs. seeming awkward or robotic. And, he definitely had more consistency with his shots. It was nice to watch him hit several decent shots.

Junior Fundamentals: Ages 7-15

This Is for Juniors With Little to No Experience

The program will allow the students to gain better understanding of the fundamentals. Students will learn proper grip, stance, alignment, posture, and most importantly the rules and etiquette of golf. This program guarantees that each student will receive instruction appropriate to his or her golfing level.

Private and Semi-Private playing lessons available. Playing lessons provides “Hands-On” learning from tee to green. Allowing a PGA Professional to evaluate your on-course performance can make a huge difference in improving your scores. Learn how to take your Range game to the course effectively.

My 4 ½ year old son loves to play golf, but like most kids his age, has no interest in taking pointers from a parent. Private lessons were not an option, because my wife & I wanted him to learn the game with other kids and to have fun, not feel as if it was a “job”. The work that Dan and Liz have done with this class is much more than we could have ever imagined. They make teaching the fundamentals of the golf swing and proper golf etiquette enjoyable, and they are very patient with all of the children. My son has improved his ball striking tremendously, and he can’t wait until the next’s weeks’ class.

SNAG Golf: Ages 4-7

It Is All About Having Fun While Learning the Basics of Golf

SNAG (‘Starting New At Golf’) incorporates developmentally appropriate equipment. The program builds on strong fundamentals of the different strokes and swings and develops playing ability quickly and effectively.

Teaching Professionals will provide the basic fundamentals of the game while using colorful and oversized equipment, as well as learning the proper rules and etiquette of the game of golf.

SNAG Golf (‘Starting New At Golf’) …it is all about having FUN while learning the basics of golf. SNAG incorporates developmentally appropriate equipment. The program builds on strong fundamentals of the different strokes and swings and develops playing ability quickly and effectively.

Tikes 'n Spikes: Ages 5-7

Age 5-7 Basic instruction focusing on the fundamentals of golf in a fun environment.

Children will enjoy learning from our entertaining and caring staff.

Lock Golf Academy will keep the kids active and enthusiastic about golf while playing activities appropriate for their attention span and skill level. Our emphasis is on having fun while learning the fundamentals of the game of golf in a safe and professional environment. This course consist of the fundamentals of golf using our SNAG program and equipment as well and the junior’s own clubs to teach the proper etiquette and rules of the game, as well as grip, alignment, ball position and posture. Lock Golf Academy will also incorporate putting, short game, Irons, and woods all while keeping it fun for the kids. I've only had one lesson in my golf career and it was at Lock Golf Academy. Last summer before I met with Dan I was consistently shooting 97 and up (just hoping to break 100). After working through some kinks in my swing, I can now say that I am consistently shooting 90 and below. Dan has shaved 7 strokes off of my game. I would recommend anyone to him, he is great and easy to work with. I'll be going back for another lesson this summer to hopefully get a few more strokes off of my game again!
